Lukashenko demands new anti-drug measures

According to Belarusian head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko, drug control and drug prevention have been discussed at a high level many times for the past five years.

Belarus will take a number of measures to adequately respond to the deployment of NATO assets near the Belarusian border and the organization of the NATO exercise Defender Europe, BelTA learned from Belarusian Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov. The official delivered a report on the military and political situation, risks, challenges and threats to Belarus to the head of state on 28 October.

Belarus and Kazakhstan have agreed on oil supplies and are launching commercial negotiations, Chairman of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim Andrei Rybakov told the media on 25 October, BelTA has learned.

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit. His airplane landed at Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport. The Belarusian leader was greeted personally by Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the ramp.

Belarus and Cuba are implementing a joint biotechnology project to develop crop protection products. Scientists of the two countries are currently carrying out the research. Plans are in place to launch the production next year.

Belarus and Russia are about to finish creating an alternative system for financial transactions, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Board of OAO Belarusian Interbank Settlement Center Oleg Korobyin during the BANKIT forum on 22 October.

We have been working in the Ural region for a long time and successfully, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Governor of Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast Yevgeny Kuivashev in Minsk.
